Name of the Post - Paediatrician, Maharashtra Medical & Health Services, Grade - A (Post Under
Backlog)
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES :
(1) He should attend the Hospital at 8.30 a.m. daily and should not leave the Hospital till work is over.
(2) He should take a complete round of the patients under his unit every morning and before leaving
the Hospital.
(3) He should attend the emergencies as required and should communicate about the cases to the
Head of the Institute as and when required.
(4) He should attend out patients Department at least twice a week and conduct it for speciality. H
should also attend and see cases referred to him or to his unit.
(5) He should check O.P.D. and Indoor cases papers time to time and should see that records are
maintained properly.
(6) He should ensure discipline, punctuality, regularity and courteous conduct amongst staff members.
He should set up a standard in all their matters by his unit. He should also check medical
equipments and instruments from time to time.
(7) He should see that the stocks of medicines are adequate in his unit. He should also check medical
equipments.
(8) They are responsible to keep their patients on "Dangerously ill list" and "seriously ill list" as the case may be to relay the information to enquiry window and to the head of institute.
(9) He should strive to maintain congenial relations with public and co-operate with Head of Institute / Civil Surgeons and Resident Medical Officer in all matters.
(10) He should attend any other work assigned by Head of Unit or Civil Surgeon.
