Name of the Post - Assistant Controller of Rationing, Group – B
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
1) Supervision of various related activities to ensure smooth supply of controlled commodities to authorised ration shops.
2) Compilation of the information regarding stock position in government godowns.
3) Determination of the quantum of distribution of controlled commodities.
4) Compilation of the demands/requests for dry authorised ration shops and take necessary action.
5) Planning and supervision the programme for inspection of authorised ration shops.
6) Conduction of enquiries regarding public grievances, Conduct raids/inspection of suspected ration
shops/licensees and take further necessary action and conduct departmental enquiries.
7) Allotment and maintenance of vehicles, sanction fuel expenses, write off old vehicles, prepare proposals for new vehicles and supervision as to ensure the proper use of vehicles.
8) Supervision of cases related to office premises, electrical installations and telephone.
9) Supply of office stationery, proformas, ration cards to government offices and communication with
government printing press.
10) Preparation of budget, allocation of the sanctioned grants, updatation of service books, preparation of seniority lists, supervision of bills of monthly expenses, salary and telephone, account related matters and communication with the Pay and Accounts Office.
11) Scrutinise the proposals for new authorised ration shops, publication of advertisements, and draft orders as per enquiry reports.
12) Communication of appointments of Chairman and members of vigilance committees.
13) Supervision of the functioning of Rationing office and all the branch offices of the regional office.
