DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES :
1) The Deputy Engineer will be in charge of the District Office of the G.S.D.A
2) He will work under the immediate control and direction of the Joint Director GSDA
subject to overall direction of the Director GSDA Pune
3) He should ensure the maximum and efficient utilization of machinery and equipment assigned to his charge in furtherance of various development activities in his jurisdiction.
4) He will be responsible for proper movement operation maintenance, repairs and safe custody of the various items of machinery tools, materials and stores as may be assigned to his district office.
5) He will supervise, guide co-ordinate, inspect, train and control the work of all staff directly under him.
6) He will keep close liaison with the various Departments of the Government and other institutions and organizations in his jurisdiction as may be required in pursuance of the work of the G.S.D.A.
7) He will advise the public on matters pertaining to the work of the G.S.D.A.
8) He will exercise such powers as may be delegated to him from time to time in regard to Administrative, Financial and Technical matters in the interest of the working of the G.S.D.A.
9) He will arrange to maintain Accounts. Records books, Registers as may be required in regard to his office machinery, equipment, tools etc. and submit such reports, returns or other information as may be required of him from time to time.
10) He will attend to such other work as may be assigned to him from time to time by his
higher authorities.
