Name of the Post - Entomologist, General State Service, Group – A
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
To assess the situation of Malaria / Filaria / all other vector born diseases in the state and to guide on basis of epidemiological and entomological investigations for taking appropriate measures.
a) Overall assessment of malaria incidence with reference to death due to malaria, highest positive incidence and routine day to day work.
b) Selection of insecticide and selection of area for spraying.
c) Planning and preparation of spray schedule of the state.
d) Suggestion of appropriate measures in project areas.
e) Overall control on entomological work carried out at divisional level.
f) Overall evaluation of spraying operation and to suggest appropriate measures.
g) Supervision and evaluation of urban malaria scheme.
h) Selection and planning of insecticidal spray operation in focal outbreak area.
i) Planning and supervision of guppy fish and bio-larvicidal programme as bio-environmental control measures.
j) Regular submission of entomological and e epidemiological report to NAMP, Delhi.
k) He should work in consultation and co-ordination with Jt. DHS. (M & F)
