Duties and Responsibilities - RESEARCH OFFICER IN THE MAHARASHTRA ADMINISTRATIVE TRIBUNAL

DUTY LIST OF RESEARCH OFFICER IN THE MAHARASHTRA ADMINISTRATIVE TRIBUNAL

1. To assist the Hon'ble Chairman, Vice Chairmen and Members in the judicial work as directed by them.
2. To supervise and control all the work relating to Board Department and see to it whether they are
displayed properly on the notice board. To check up whether the Board is reached properly one day
before to the Hon'ble Chairman, Vice Chairmen and Members of the respective Court.
3. To co-ordinate with the High Court, Central Administrative Tribunal and Mantralaya Departments.
4. To get the copies of all the new Rules, Circulars amendments and keep them before the Court for
perusal, and direct the Librarian also to keep the copies of all new editions.
5. To study the new judgments delivered by the Hon'ble Supreme Court on different subjects and new
citations and direct the Librarian to keep copies ready for reference of the Court.
6. To make comparative study of the cases filed in the Maharashtra Administrative Tribunal and the
cases disposed of by the Maharashtra Administrative Tribunal and make submissions regarding the
same to the Hon'ble Chairman.
7. To study the Administrative Tribunals Act, other Acts/ Rules relating to Government servants and
send a proposal to the Government about usefulness of the Maharashtra Administrative Tribunal to the Government servants.
8. To study the books published by various publishers relating to Administrative Tribunals and make
submissions to the Hon'ble Chairman for purchase of necessary books and if approved complete the
prescribed procedure for purchase of the new books.
9. To make a study report of over all working procedure of the Maharashtra Administrative Tribunal and make submission to the Hon'ble Chairman for perusal and orders.
10. To complete all other works as per the directions of the Hon'ble Chairman, Vice Chairman ,Members and Registrars.
11. To supervise all the work relating to Library and to get the work done from the Library staff.
12. To study the final Orders, Judgments delivered by the Tribunal and make record of research work for reference of the Court.
