Assistant Commissioner (Food), General State Services, Group-A in the Food and Drugs Administration.
1) To perform all duties & responsibilities, with reference to instructions & orders
issued by Food Health Authority & head of the office in permanence to effective
implementation & provision of Food Adulteration Act, 1954 & ruls thereunder.
2) At Divisional level, Act as consenting Authority for entire Jurisdiction of the Division
under the provision of section 20 of Prevention of Food Adulteration Act, 1954 &
rules thereunder to perform the duties & responsibilities in adherence there to.
3) To obey the instruction issued by joint Commissioner (Food) from time to time.
4) To make the distribution of area for the working to Food lnspectors.
5) At divisional place to Act as a responsible officer to Hon. Commissioner for effective
implementation of Prevention of Food Adulteration Act.
6) To supervise the working of Local (Health) Authorities & Licensing Authorities.
