DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:-
JOINT DIRECTOR OF HEALTH SERVICES (MALARIA AND FILERIA)
1. State level Officer, Head of Malaria & Fileria Bureau Looks after administration/supervision and Budget control of
Malaria programme.
2. The Joint Director of Health Services has to perform the duties of staff officer of the Director of Health Services.
3. To assist Director of Health Services in implementation of Malaria Control programme in the state, activities in
preventive and curative sides.
4. He shall perform all the duties of a 'Head of Department' in respect of the Malaria and Fileria Bureau under the
Directorate of Health Services as per assignment of work entrusted to him.
5. He shall carry out all the routine administration of the Malaria and Fileria Bureau of the Directorate of Health
Services and scrutinise and sign all communications to Government consulting the Director of Health Services in all
matters of policies, formulation of changes in, or exceptions to etc.
6. He shall carry out the duties of a declared Head of Department in respect of the Bombay Civil Service Rules and
Financial Rules.
7. He shall be responsible for prompt and efficient execution of all orders of Govt. in respect of the Malaria and Filaria
Programme of the Directorate of Health Services.
8. He is responsible to the Govt. of Maharashtra through the Director of Health Services and Secretary to Govt. in the
Public Health Department.
JOINT DIRECTOR OF HEALTH SERVICES (LEPROSY)
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:-
1. State level Officer, Head of Leprosy Control Bureau Looks after administration/supervision and Budget control of
Leprosy Control Scheme.
2. The Joint Director of Health Services has to perform the duties of staff officer of the Director of Health Services.
3. To assist Director of Health Services in implementation of Leprosy Control Programme in the State activities in
preventive and curative sides.
4. He shall perform all the duties of a Head of Department in respect of the Leprosy Control Bureau of the Directorate
of Health Services as per assignment of work entrusted to him.
5. He shall carry out all the routine Administration of the Leprosy Control Bureau of the Directorate of Health Services
and scrutinize and sign all communications to Government, consulting the Director of Health Services in all matters
of policies, formulations of changes in or exceptions to etc.
6. He shall carry out the duties of declared Head of Department in respect of the Bombay Civil Services Rules and
Financial Rules.
7. He shall be responsible for prompt and efficient execution of all orders of Govt. in respect of the Leprosy Control
Programme of the Directorate of Health Services.
8. He is responsible to the Govt. of Maharashtra through the Director of Health Services and Secretary of Govt. in the
Public Health Department.
