DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
(1) In order to adopt and apply latest technical knowledge in the working of Irrigation Research and
Development Directorate he is required to keep contacts with the Soil Survey Organisation working at national and international level.
(2) To prepare report for carrying out research work, pertaining to soil and soil management.
(3) The assist the Director in planning and soil survey work.
(4) To carry out the work of sending the staff engaged in soil survey work for the various training
programmes arranged at national and international level.
(5) Preparation and finalization of soil survey project report and publishing it after obtaining approval of the Director.
(6) To supply required information regarding soil in order to obtainapproval to the irrigation projects in the State of Maharashtra.
(7) To assist the director for preparing technical notes related with soil survey.
(8) Other technical work under the directorate assigned by the Director.
(9) Estimate, scrutiny and sanction of soil survey work.
(10) To assist the Director in overall administration at directorate level and at circle level.
